Grown-up guide
Sit or stand comfortably together. Model the clap gently; accept a hand movement, watching or a clap. Choose one clap or optional two-clap play. Never move the child’s hands for them.
Play away from the screen
Use a favourite soft toy. Clap once, pause and invite the child to copy. Let the child lead a turn.
Keep play brief and relaxed. Pause whenever needed; there is no target score or required performance.
